Bajaj introduced the world’s first petrol and CNG-powered bike—Freedom 125. It’s also known for having the highest mileage among motorcycles worldwide. Using this bike can save you thousands of rupees every month. Basically, more usage equals more savings! The bike comes with a 2 kg CNG cylinder and a 2-liter petrol tank. Its starting price is Rs 95,000 & it’s available in three variants.

Since this is the world’s first CNG motorcycle, people are curious about its details like where the cylinder is fitted and how safe it is. Here are answers to some common questions:

1. Where is the CNG cylinder fitted?

The cylinder is located under the seat of Bajaj Freedom 125. It’s small and has a capacity of 2 kg. You can’t see it unless you remove the seat!

3. How much mileage will it give on 1kg of CNG?

It comes with a tank that holds up to 2 kg of CNG. After filling up completely, it can run for approximately 230 km—that’s about 115 km per kg! And it can run an extra100 km with petrol.

4. How safe is the CNG cylinder?

The company ran several tests for safety & showed videos during the launch event too! They’ve ensured it won’t blast during an accident.

5. How much will be saved using a CNG bike compared to a petrol one?

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari mentioned at the launch that running costs for petrol two-wheelers are around Rs 2.25 per kilometer while for CNG it’s just Rs 1 per kilometer. Savings depend on gas prices in your city though!
